Week 3 ends with a bang!
Wow – two amazing days (& nights). We shot more scenes with our home made train – this time in a brand new location (another Art Dept built train station). Thursday we filmed two great performances from Catalina and Santiago – both of whom had to perform really emotional scenes without any dialogue (okay – Santiago said two words – but that’s all). It’s simply mesmerizing watching them create these moments. In one scene – Catalina had us all so captured – that when something happened that ended the take early – I instinctively blew up. I’m not a screamer – so it’s not in my nature to do this normally and I made amends afterwards – but I couldn’t help it – it was like being ripped out of… something!
Last night (until this morning actually) was one of Santiago’s biggest scenes. We had lots of action going around – fire and gunshots – and in the middle of it all – Santiago gave an emotional and heartbreaking performance that will be unforgettable. This scene changes his character forever – and even with all of the spectacular special effects, cast, extras, etc. supporting the moment – the dynamic visuals plays second place to Santiago’s acting transformation.
It’s been a challenging week for everyone – myself included. The end of every day felt like I was getting out of a boxing ring – but I was always looking forward to the next round.
Next week – we leave for our next location. Durango has been all I hoped for and more…. Simply stunning…
Back soon….

Espero que todo haya salido muy bien en Durango, los cinefilos estamos ansiosos de ver el primer trailer del film.
Mucho éxito y esperemos verlos pronto por Durango con otro proyecto tan importante como este.
